Morning everyone,
Writing with a small update re my acne woes: I’m taking a natural, inside out approach rather than continuing to suffer through tretinoin purges and expensive, highly sanitized facials. Currently on the menu:
an oil cleanser: sea buckthorn oil to be more specific. I’ve never fantasized about my wedding day, but when I rub oil “about my face” (as the woman who influenced me to buy sea buckthorn oil says), I’m an elegant glowing bride-to-be and it’s the happiest day of my life.
one tbsp of flax seed: mixed into TBD. Yesterday I “sprinkled” it on scrambled eggs—it was more of a dumping, 1 tbsp is a lot. The “nutty” flavor didn’t exactly pair well with my breakfast, so we’ll see how long this lasts. It felt very cool to buy a bag of it and store it in my freezer though. I even placed a plastic tbsp scoop in there to make it feel like I had my own personal smoothie bar at the ready.
a range of herbal supplements: it all starts with the gut, and who knows, maybe in three weeks I won’t be in pain anytime I eat anything more exciting than a hard boiled egg. Plus, I bought a vitamin box that’s rainbow-colored and has AM/PM compartments. Pill organizers are the pencil boxes of adulthood.
Finally, and most thrilling of all, I faced my fears and tried acupuncture:
